About Us

In 2009, it became clear to Director Wendy Krueger, MA, MT-BC that memory care units on the north shore of Massachusetts were underserved by music therapists.

Since then, Up Beat Music Therapy LLC has served over 60 individuals, memory care units, senior living communities, adult day programs, and inpatient hospital units. With Wendy, many other music therapists and community partners have worked with UBMT over the years to help build connections and community within those settings and advocated for meaningful musical connections. We thank you!

Wendy currently serves a number of communities herself, works with Lesley University as a clinical supervisor for master’s level music therapy interns, and works with Berklee College of Music (her alma mater ‘06 BM, and ‘18 MA) as a clinical supervisor and faculty member in the undergraduate music therapy program. She is also involved in AMTA (American Music Therapy Association) leadership as the President of the New England Region.

In her free time (what’s that?) she enjoys detailed coloring books, gardening, floating in any body of water, cooperative board games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
